Scoring and ranksFour-letter words score one point. Longer words score one point per letter. Every puzzle has at least one pangram, a word that uses all seven letters, worth seven bonus points on top of its length.Your rank climbs with your score: Beginner, Good Start, Moving Up, Good, Solid, Nice, Great, Amazing, Genius and finally Queen Bee. Thresholds are percentages of the points available in that day's puzzle, so each hive has its own targets; tap the rank bar to see them. Go for the pangram early: it is worth the most and reveals which letters combine well.

Try common prefixes and suffixes such as RE-, UN-, -ING, -ED and -LY with the letters you have.

Shuffle the outer letters when you get stuck. A new arrangement often surfaces a word you kept missing.

Once a word is found, look for relatives: TRACE gives TRACED, RETRACE and TRACER.
